Two of the NBA's hottest teams squared off Wednesday night when the Dallas Mavericks hosted the Detroit Pistons. The Mavs had won six straight behind new point guard Rajon Rondo but fell 108-95 to the upstart Pistons, who seized their seventh consecutive victory after a brutal start to the season.
Detroit's Greg Monroe scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, while D.J. Augustin poured in 26 off the bench. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 19.
