A.J. Green Injury: Updates on Bengals Star's Arm and Return

A.J. Green was in and out of the Cincinnati Bengals' Week 16 win over the Denver Broncos after suffering an arm injury early in the first quarter. He's questionable for Week 17. But Cincinnati does have arguably the league's best young running back duo in Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard to take the pressure off Dalton. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson likes to run the ball more as it is, so Green's absence should only increase that penchant.

While the going should be tough overall for the Bengals without Green, the circumstances allow for Mohamed Sanu to emerge as a bigger threat in the passing game. However, replacing someone with Green's unique skills is impossible. If the Bengals are meant to be the class of their division and make a deeper push in the playoffs, learning to succeed without Green may be best for the long haul. As long as Green is geared up for a postseason push, Cincinnati has a chance to put up points with the NFL's best.
