Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt: Winner and Reaction from 2014 WWE TLC

In perhaps the biggest grudge match on the entire card, Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match Sunday night at TLC.

The two brawled around the ring, breaking countless tables. Eventually, Ambrose was ready to smash a television through Wyatt's skull. However, the television exploded, blinding Ambrose. That allowed Wyatt to hit Sister Abigail for the win.

WWE Universe captured the moment of the explosion:Ambrose and Wyatt have been embroiled in a heated feud since Hell in a Cell. At that show, Wyatt interfered in the main event bout and cost Ambrose a win against Seth Rollins.

Wyatt has attempted to gain a psychological advantage over WWE's Lunatic Fringe ever since, and while he has seemingly gotten in Ambrose's head at times, the Eater of Worlds has learned that Ambrose is unlike any other opponent he has ever encountered.

The hallmark of their rivalry has been their promo work. Ambrose and Wyatt are widely considered to be two of the best mic workers in the business right now, and they have impressed many in that regard, including Scott Fishman of the Sun Sentinel:There has been a natural progression since the start of the angle between the two combatants. Wyatt initially wanted Ambrose to join his cause, but that changed at Survivor Series. When Wyatt handed him a chair, Ambrose proceeded to attack him with it before burying him in a pile of weapons.

Since that point, Wyatt has focused on making his adversary's life a living hell, as evidenced by this tweet courtesy of WWE Universe:As it turns out, that has suited the unstable Ambrose just fine. In addition to constantly attacking Wyatt and destroying his chair, Ambrose made it his mission to get true retribution, per WWE Universe:Above all else, though, the most important thing entering TLC was for WWE Creative to ensure that both rising Superstars would come out of their match looking credible.

Their encounter at Survivor Series left something to be desired, and it didn't really do much to help either guy. Because of that, there was a certain amount of pressure on Ambrose and Wyatt to put on a stirring performance in their second match.

Among those who wanted to see them succeed was WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross:
