Spearheaded by a 41-point, 10-assist effort from James Harden, the Houston Rockets outlasted the Denver Nuggets 115-111 in an overtime thriller at the Pepsi Center.

Arron Afflalo buried a three-pointer as the fourth quarter expired to force extra time, but Denver (10-15) came up short in the final period.

Houston (19-5) overcame an 8-for-28 performance from behind the arc with 37 free throws, including an 18-for-21 mark from Harden. Dwight Howard tallied 24 points and 16 rebounds, while Donatas Motiejunas chipped in 18 points and six boards.

Wilson Chandler scored a Nuggets-high 23 points, Afflalo added 22 and Ty Lawson contributed 12 points and 16 assists. Denver committed 36 fouls, dropped its third consecutive game and seventh of the last eight.
